Kicking Facebook Addiction...

For far too long Facebook has been the main way to stay in touch with friends across the country, but what I have come to learn is that there is still a strong disconnect with friends... In fact, you really start to only see what you don't like about them and how you disagree... and you see how much you no longer have in common as time progresses. So kicking facebook is somewhat bittersweet... I was growing in disagreements more and more to the point, some of them I just don't like anymore. It is not just them... I have changed too... So to say they are 100% in the wrong would not only be unfair but downright bullshit. But one truth in life, people are in constant states of change and evolution... and some grow closer and some further. Moving as much as I have, you witness this more often than not... But with the invent of social media, you really start to see the split more vividly, and on a consistent basis. So I just realized it was time to cut the cord to Facebook, like Myspace before it... I want to remember my friends during the good times and cherish those memories... I still love and admire them, even the ones I have grown to strongly disagree with... So it is time to just rely on that memory of the "good old days" and not be reminded daily of how different we have all become. A blessing for and much love to them and their lives... and a farewell... as I head on further on my own path.
